AbstractThe Association of Christian Schools International
(ACSI) strives to enable and equip Christian educators and schools worldwide
to effectively educate children and young people with the mind of Christ. Thus,
students will be prepared for life because Christ, the creator and sustainer of
the universe, possesses "all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge" (Colossians
2:3). The life and mind of Christ is nurtured in the lives of students through
redemptive relationships with faculty who recognize that reconciling the heart
and mind to God is the foundation of their work. ACSI's membership is currently
comprised of over 5440 member schools in 105 countries worldwide, representing
approximately 1,180,000 students. Our programs and services are provided to member
educators and schools through a regional service-provision structure. There are
eighteen regional offices--thirteen in North America and five in Asia, Africa,
Europe, Latin America and the Commonwealth of Independent States. Our International
Ministries Division serves schools that established to meet the needs of national
children in a given country. The predominant types of schools serviced are Missionary
Kids (MK) Schools - schools that are established by mission organizations
and primarily serve the missionary family.
International Christian
Schools - schools that primarily serve the international community. Often
their goal is evangelism.
To bring the services of ACSI closer to foreign
national schools, the five foreign geographies regions are served directly by
these ACSI regional offices: Guatemala City, Guatemala; Ascunsion, Paraguay;
Sao Paulo, Brazil; and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Budapest, Hungary; Cluj,
Romania; and Guebwiller, France; Kiev, Ukraine and Minsk, Belarus, Manila, Philippines
and Surabaya, Indonesia, and Johannesburg, South Africa |
